An overgrown forest in the peak of summer hides the home of an unlikely gnome. Atticus tended to the trees and flowers for years as tiny magical crystals formed beside the magnificent oaks. For years, he worked on his own darling forest. As the wind whistled through the trees, the crystals would sing too. The gnome never failed to pour a little water on the crystals and continued even as a small pond had gathered there. The gnome lived many years longer than one might, had he ever had the care to keep count.
This piece is meant to invoke a feeling of longevity and wisdom far beyond our reach. With no gnome in sight, the viewer must wonder if he's long gone or simply gone to tend to his plants and rocks.
