The first time she saw the sword, she knew it would become a welcome travelling tool. And it was. With it, she warded off many a foe, bandit in the night, wolves, what have you. Something or someone had set it down and left it behind or forgotten;  yet she had found it, made it her own by rewrapping the pommel and changing the cracked gemstone in its hilt. She would take better care than the last owner.

This piece is the first part of a painting pair meant to reflect on the beauty of the first time you see something prior to knowing what significance it will hold. The second reflects on the last time something is seen without knowing it will be the last time.

3.5 inch by 2 inch artwork framed in a clover shaped frame (approx. 7in x 7in) on primed cardstock, titled, dated, signed front and back. The custom painted frame is included with the piece.
